    twelve years means you are growing so your calorie intake would be higher than an adult of the same size. But calorie intake depends on your size, age, metabolism and activity. If you are very active you will burn more calories so you will need to eat more calories to stay the same weight. If you are heavier, it takes more energy to walk around so bigger people need more calories as well.
