Try (and stick to) Atkins or anything where you do not take in carbs and sugar. I dropped a lot of weight the last time I was on it. As soon as I reintroduced carbs back into my life, I gained it all back.
Of course, different diets work for different people, but that was the only diet I ever had success with. I just didn’t stick to it.

    Want to lose weight?

If you’ve been diagnosed “Morbidly obese” then your doctor should have put you on a controlled calorie and exercise diet…?
If not, ask him, becasue they know you and your body exactly, and can help you in the best possible way xx

Hey honey I am in the same exact situation you are in. I’m only 21, and I need to lose about 100 to 150 pounds. The worst part is that I’m a girl, and it’s so hard to be a morbidly obese girl. I’ve been overweight my whole life, and it is so hard to live a normal daily life being this overweight. I have been trying for a really long time to lose weight, and it’s hard to go out with friends and stick to eating healthy… but here are a few things that have helped me:

Whenever you go out to eat, try to get something that you know will fill you up. I personally LOVE food so I can’t deal with eating two peas and being satisfied. I need a MEAL, ya know? So I have learned that fiber-rich foods fill you up and actually make you feel satisfied. Some things that have alot of fiber are any kind of whole-wheat bread, raisin bran, and almost all green vegetables. Most veggies aren’t even that bad, as long as they are cooked right. Oh, and I know it’s a pain, but if you ask the waiter to put dressings, sauces, and butter on the side, it makes me less tempted to actually use them, and that saves calories too. Try brown rice instead of white, and wheat pasta instead of white. The rice isn’t a huge leap as far as different taste, but the pasta is.. but try it.

DEFINATELY eat breakfast… it’s so important to do that. Eating speeds up your metabolism, and it kind of jump-starts your digestion and fat-burning abilities. Skipping breakfast (like I did when I thought that not eating would help me lose weight.. skipping meals actually just makes your body hold onto whatever food you eat next because you’ve taught it that you might starve it, so it holds onto whatever fat it can get) is not a good idea. For example, I either eat raisin bran or some kind of no-sugar added cereal like rice crispies (with 2% milk, I can’t eat that 1% or skim crapola) OR if I’m late and on the run, I got Zone bars, which are a great balance of fiber and protien. I just eat them in the car or on my way to class.

Also, try to not eat after like 8pm. It’s HARD, especially being young, when all my friends are up until like 1 or 2am, but try, if you can.

Drinking water is really important.. but if you ever really need some soda, get diet. Diet coke and diet pepsi aren’t that bad… and they have ZERO calories! You know how ppl make fun of when people order like a big mac with cheese and a diet coke? Well that’s Me. I figure if I’m going to eat all that bad food I have to at least keep the calories low with ZERO calorie diet soda.

Ugh, the reality is that Excersize is important. So I go walking. Except I go early early in the morning or late at night when it’s still dark out because I’m like so embarassed of being seen. It’s like overweight people are mocked if they try to eat right and excersize, and they are made fun of if they fit the stereotype and eat mcdonalds or wendys or burger king.
