    Need to lose weight?

All of them actually. The preparation process is what adds fat. Stay away from deep fried veggies or salads with high calorie dressings. Use fat free dressing or low calorie dressing when eating salads. Steam vegetables or saute in olive oil is what I do with my veggies. Fruits – some are higher in sugar but natural sugar is better then processed. Calorie intake and exercise are the key diet success.

The ones you like and will eat. Especially raw or lightly steamed. They provide a lot of fiber, vitamins and other nutrients your body needs. Also, when eaten raw or slightly cooked, they provide a lot of fiber. Even though fruit has sugar in it (actually, most foods do), when eaten fresh the fiber provided makes a big difference.

Leafy ones are best, such as spinach but it’s important that if you’re on a diet, they’re better for you to eat fresh/raw.. having raw carrots is healtheir then having them roasted/baked/steamed. But, amongst everything, veggies are healthy and the best ones ot have are carrots, plenty of greens, and even squash and corn.

Strictly for a diet, ANY and ALL fruits and veggies are good for you (at least, a better alternative than most other things), as long as you eat them in proper portions.

If you are looking for those in each category that are particularly strong in nutrients and good for your overall health and longevity -

Veggies: DARK greens – dark lettuce, spinach, broccoli; protein-rich legumes – beans, squash, sweet potatoes.

Fruits: Berries – blueberries, blackberries, strawberries; pomegranate, apples.

Pretty much any veggie. Maybe avoid some of the sweeter ones that contain more natural sugars (corn, carrots, apple, dates, figs, mango’s, etc..)
