    Short Answer: Treadmill

    Longer Answer: It starts with diet. What you eat and more importantly when you eat it is going to affect how much fat you carry on your frame.
    Water: probably the most overlooked factor in weight management. Golden rule: Fluid pushes fluid i.e. the more water you drink the more body fat you lose.
    Lastly, a structured workout routine that includes a lot of cardio at least 3 or 4 times a week.
    Keep in mind, there is no “quick-fix” it takes time. People don’t just gain a bunch of weight overnight, it happens gradually – same for weight loss. One step at a time.

    EDIT: The bozo below me has no clue what he’s talking about, you cannot lose weight without exercising. You may drop a couple of pounds temporarily but it just slows your metabolism down and you’ll gain it back and more.

    Same problem! Hips widen when we get older cause of child birth. So they will always be (kinda) bigger then your waist. excersize will help though.

    First off, don’t listen to the idiot who said treadmill.
    Running for 30 minutes at a steady speed on a treadmill won’t do much for fat loss. If you are going to run then use short intermittent bursts of sprinting. However, don’t be under the illusion that you can lose weight only where you want to!
    Do some body weight exercises such as squats, and look on google or you can e-mail for circuit ideas that you can do in your home without any equipment.
    Make sure you’re eating right!

    The secret to losing fat from any part of your body is to train with intensity consistently and to eat a healthy diet. But you already knew that didn’t you? Sorry, but there really is no secret.

    If you train 5-6 times every week for about 30 minutes at the correct intensity and eat healthy foods, you will lose weight A combination of high intensity cardio eg running, skipping, cycling or body weight exercises like step ups, bur-pees etc and a high intensity strength program will yield fantastic results. You must put in the effort though. There is no quick fix.
    As your fitness improves, it does become easier. You can be a bit less strict with your diet, but you must change your habits for a lifetime, or you will just end up back where you are now.

    I have heaps of free workouts on my website that are free, and you won’t need any expensive equipment or a gym membership to do them. Step by step instructions are given on how to do the workouts and the exercises. Have a look, what have you got to lose?

    There are some exercises for the hips that help.. Unfortunately Mother Nature played a cruel trick on women…She said all excess fat will go to the hips…You may want to pick up the book Weight Training Made Easy, by Joyce Detras, Phd. It is full of great exercises….There is one more way to lose that fat on the hips…Nurse.
